VR PPE Training Module — Immersive Safety Training System

A VR-based training module that teaches workers how to correctly identify, inspect, and wear PPE in industrial environments.

Project Description

The VR PPE Training Module is an immersive, interactive training application built to teach workers how to properly identify, select, inspect, and wear Personal Protective Equipment. By simulating real workplace hazards in VR, trainees can safely practice correct safety behavior, while built-in scoring and analytics help organizations assess readiness and compliance.

🏭 Use Cases The module supports industries where safety compliance is mandatory, including:

• Construction

• Manufacturing

• Oil & Gas

• Chemical Plants

• Mining Ideal for reducing accidents, training new or temporary workers, and ensuring proper PPE compliance before entering live job sites.

📊 Dashboard & Tracking The system includes a training dashboard that stores performance data and creates detailed reports. Features include:

• Multi-role login (Admin / Trainer / Trainee)

• Error and score tracking

• Time-spent analysis

• Leaderboards and comparison tools

• Exportable reports (PDF / CSV) Perfect for corporate training, compliance audits, and certification processes.

Key Features

  • Interactive VR PPE selection and wearing procedure.
  • Missing-PPE hazard detection.
  • Realistic industrial environment simulation.
  • Inspection system with smart guidance.
  • Voice-assisted and UI step-by-step instructions.
  • Automated scoring, error tracking, and analytics logging.
  • Web dashboard for trainers, companies, and safety managers

Project Goal

This platform provides a realistic and risk-free way for workers to learn essential safety procedures. Instead of traditional lectures, users interact with a fully simulated environment where they must choose the correct PPE, inspect it for damage, and wear it accurately. All performance metrics are tracked, enabling employers to validate training outcomes and improve safety culture.

Technical Details

Developed using Unity or Unreal Engine with advanced VR interaction systems that support controller-based and hand-tracking interactions. PPE models, characters, and environment assets are created in Blender and textured using PBR workflows. The module runs on multiple VR headsets such as Oculus Quest, HTC Vive, Valve Index, and Pico devices. Physics, collisions, snapping mechanics, and gesture inspection systems are built using native engine tools.

"This solution completely transformed our operations. What used to take weeks now happens in just a few days with significantly better results."
